Hi Everyone The postman was very kind to me yesterday and dropped off this lump of Tassie Blackwood for me. I got off Ebay from a guy in Sydney who is renovating his house and was selling all his wood. And yes I did get in touch with him to see if he had more but alas.... It came with some nicely figured sides and bindings plus an Englemann top. Now. What to do with it? ![]() ![]() Cheers Bob |

Beautiful stuff Bob, I have a similar set I got from Tim that I intend to maybe use as a top one day. What ever you do with it, make it big, you want to keep as much of that stuff on the guitar as possible. Cheers Kim |

Kim I have a sneaking suspicion that this may have originally been bought through Tim. bob |

Hi Bob, It looks like a close relative to some of my sets. If it is it should have quite good density and tap tone. Under the right finish it will look spectacular. regards Tim Australian Tonewoods |

Well, if you look closely, it's got "jumbo" written all over it! Beautiful! |
